"Thursday Girl" Seems To Tell The Story Of A Woman Who Is Struggling With Her Sense Of Identity And Self-Worth. The Song Seems To Explore The Desire To Feel Alive And Present Even If It Means Doing Things That Are Destructive Or Unhealthy. In The First Verse The Narrator Speaks Of Going To A Party On Her Knees And Saying "Take It All Please". This Could Be A Metaphor For Surrendering To The Night And Doing Things That May Not Be Good For Her. The Repetition Of "tell Me No" In The Chorus Could Suggest A Plea For Someone To Tell Her To Stop To Save Herself From Her Own Destructive Behavior. The Second Verse Seems To Reinforce The Idea That The Narrator Is Not In A State Of Happiness Or Sadness Just Moving Through Life Feeling Up Or Down And Always Bad. The Notion Of Feeling Bad May Suggest That The Narrator Is Dealing With Some Sort Of Emotional Pain That She Is Trying To Escape From. The Bridge Repeats The Refrain Of "tell Me No" And The Outro Is Made Up Of Nonsensical Syllables That Could Suggest The Feeling Of Being Lost And Disconnected From Reality. Overall The Song Seems To Be A Commentary On The Complex Emotions And Desires That Can Come With The Search For Self-Discovery And Fulfillment Even If It Means Making Unhealthy Choices.
